Privacy Policy

What Part3D collects, why, and what stays on your device.

Dernière mise à jour : 8 octobre 2026

The short version

  • Your designs stay on your device. Part3D runs entirely on-device. We don't have accounts, and we don't have a server that stores your projects.
  • The app has no analytics. We don't track how you use Part3D.
  • Crash reports go to Sentry, so we can find and fix bugs. In some cases a crash report can include the document that caused it.
  • The website uses analytics (Google Analytics and Mixpanel) to understand how visitors use it.
  • We never sell or share your data for advertising.

Who we are

Part3D is built and operated by Angelo Bartolome, an independent developer based in Brazil ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Part3D app for iPad and macOS, Part3D Bridge, and the website at part3d.app. It is part of our Terms of Service.

Your designs

Your sketches, models, and exports are stored locally on your device. We have no way to access them.

If you turn on iCloud, your files sync through your own iCloud account. Apple handles that storage under the Apple Privacy Policy, and we can't see it.

The app

Part3D doesn't need an account, and the app doesn't include analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

The app only uses the network when you ask it to: sending a job to a networked printer or slicer, syncing through iCloud, or sending a crash report (see below).

Crash and error reports

We use Sentry to detect and diagnose crashes. When an error happens, Sentry may collect:

  • Device model, OS version, and app settings
  • App version and configuration
  • IP address
  • Crash reports and stack traces

In some cases, the document that caused the crash may be included, such as sketch data and operations like extrude or fillet. We use it only to reproduce and fix the problem, and we delete it once the issue is resolved.

Sentry processes this data under its own privacy policy.

Purchases

All purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple only tells us whether a purchase is active, so the app can unlock Pro features.

Part3D Bridge

Part3D Bridge runs on your computer and talks to Part3D over your local network, so it can hand models to your slicer. The models go directly from your iPad to your computer. They don't pass through our servers.

The website

To understand how people find and use part3d.app, the website uses:

  • Google Analytics, which counts visits, pages viewed, referrers, and approximate location.
  • Mixpanel, which records page views, clicks, session replays, and heatmaps that show how visitors move around the site.

These tools use cookies or similar technologies. You can block them with your browser's settings or a content blocker, and the site will work just the same.

When you contact us

If you email us, post on our feedback board (Featurebase), or join our Discord, we receive whatever you choose to share, like your name, email address, and message. We only use it to reply and to improve Part3D. Featurebase and Discord process data under their own privacy policies.

How we use and share data

We use the data described above only to:

  • Fix bugs and keep Part3D stable
  • Understand how the website is used, so we can improve it
  • Reply to you when you get in touch

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone except the service providers named in this policy, or when the law requires it.

Retention

Crash reports and anything attached to them are kept only as long as we need them to fix the issue. Website analytics are kept according to each provider's default retention settings. Emails and messages are kept for as long as they're useful for support.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under Brazil's LGPD and the EU's GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data. Since we hold very little, the simplest way to exercise these rights is to email us at [email protected], and we'll reply as quickly as we can.

Children

Part3D is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we'll also announce it in the app or in the release notes.
